Operative Vaginal Delivery (OVD)-For nurses (1.0 contact hour Video)

Best suited for: Midwives, obstetric nurse practitioners, OB nurses, and other interested healthcare practitioners are also welcome to participate.

Upon completion, participants should be able to

1) Identify the indications for operative vaginal delivery. 
2) Describe the advantages and disadvantages for both vacuum extraction and forceps
    delivery. 
3) Explain the importance of an exit plan and the nurse’s role.

Learning Assessment: There will be a post test for this activity with a minimum performance requirement of 4 out of 5 correct answers (80%).
